- * Fixture Lists *
-
- To have got this far, you must have already created your
- main fixture list, or loaded in an existing one from disk.
-
- The fixture list screen lets you either view (and alter if
- necessary) an existing list, or create a new sub-list.
-
- If you haven't already read the help page that describes the
- way fixture lists operate, then you should do so now (quit
- the fixture list screen, go back to the fixture list menu,
- making sure you save anything that you've created, and then
- press HELP).
-
- The screen should show you the titles of all the fixture
- lists - the Main List, Pools List and then several others
- just described as Sub-List 1, Sub-List 2 etc.
-
- Clicking on one of these titles will do one of two things -
-
- If the list has already been created, then you will be shown
- all of the fixtures contained within it. To alter any that are
- incorrect, just click on the 'offending' match - you will be
- given the chance to re-enter that one match. When viewing a
- list of matches, you can add others to it by clicking on
- 'Add More'. This feature can be useful if you have created a
- Main List from the bookies long list, but found that the
- pools coupon contains a few extra matches, not on the list.
- All you'd need to do is view the Pools list, click on Add More
- and enter the extra ones (the bulk of the list will have been
- automatically generated from the Main List).
-
- If you click on the title of a list that has not been created
- before, you will be asked for the list name.
- This will more than likely be the Sections List of the bookies
- coupons, or perhaps a Short List.
-
- When creating Sections Lists, you should treat each section as
- a separate list, naming them Sections List A, Sections List B
- and so on - the reasons for this will become apparent later.
-
- After entering the list name, you will be transferred back to
- the team-entry grid - you need to enter all of the matches
- that belong in your chosen list, the same way as before,
- except this time, you only need to enter the home teams' name.
- The away team will be automatically filled in (unless the
- match wasn't included in your Main-List in which case you'll
- be asked for both teams).
-
- This process is exceptionally quick - you're only entering
- one team name, and you're not having to bother with the
- 'On-Pools' icon as before.
-
- That's it really - when you have created all the lists that
- you require, exit the menu, and you will be given the
- opportunity to save the lists to disk.
-
- The lists are saved as one complete group, or fixture file.
-
- Rather than messing around with filenames etc, the
- fixture files are saved into pre-named 'slots' -
- Fixture File 1,2 & 3.
- You choose which one you want to save your data into - it
- makes no difference, so long as you know what file is where.
-
- You may find it useful to devise some kind of regular
- system - eg: Midweek Coupons in file 1, Weekend in 2 etc.
